Prepared For Labour & Beyond Online

Pelvis

Pregnancy is such a special time, but it can also bring lots of questions about labour, birth and what happens afterwards. It’s completely normal to feel excited, nervous or a little unsure about what to expect.

I’ve created this online programme to help you feel more prepared, confident and connected to your body as you approach birth and begin your recovery afterwards.

Drawing on my experience in pregnancy and postnatal exercise, Pilates and women’s health, I’ll guide you through practical advice, gentle movement, breathing techniques and ways to prepare your body for labour and beyond.

You’ll also find guidance to help you understand your core and pelvic floor, and how to begin supporting your recovery after your baby arrives.

There’s no pressure to get everything perfect or to do it all at once. Take your time, work through the content at your own pace, and focus on what feels right for you.

Before starting the programme, please check with your doctor or midwife that it’s suitable for you and your pregnancy. If you have any concerns or develop new symptoms, speak to your maternity team before continuing.

My hope is that this programme helps you feel informed, supported and more confident as you prepare for labour, meet your baby and begin your journey into motherhood.

Affirmations

A collection of positive birth affirmations to help you feel calm, confident and empowered as you prepare to meet your baby. Listen whenever you need a little reassurance, encouragement or a reminder of what your body is capable of.

Exercises to encourage labour.

These gentle exercises are designed for use from 40 weeks of pregnancy onwards, helping you stay comfortable and explore movement and positions as you approach labour.

Please check with your midwife before trying these exercises to make sure they are suitable for you and your pregnancy. Always listen to your body and stop if anything feels uncomfortable.

Optimum Fetal Posistioning

These videos will guide you through positions, movements and simple techniques that may help encourage your baby into a favourable position for labour.

You’ll explore ways to work with your body, make space for your baby and use movement and positioning to support your comfort as your pregnancy progresses.

Every baby and every labour is different, and there’s no guaranteed way to position your baby. The aim is to give you practical ideas to try and help you feel more comfortable and prepared for birth.

Please check with your midwife before starting any new exercises or positioning techniques, particularly if you have pregnancy complications or have been advised to restrict certain movements. Always work within your comfort level and stop if anything feels uncomfortable.

Stretches for a New Mum

Gentle Stretches for New Mums

The early weeks and months with a new baby can be physically demanding. Feeding, carrying, lifting and spending time in different positions can leave your arms, shoulders, upper back, hips and lower back feeling tight and achy.

These gentle stretches are designed to help ease tension, improve mobility and give you a little time to focus on yourself. Take them slowly, breathe naturally and only stretch as far as feels comfortable. There’s no need to push or force anything — this is about helping your body feel more comfortable as you adjust to life with your little one.

Please make sure you’ve been advised that you’re ready to return to gentle movement after birth, particularly following a C-section or a complicated delivery. Stop if you experience pain, increased bleeding, dizziness or any other concerning symptoms, and seek advice from your healthcare professional.
